Outpatient/Ancillary Services

This treatment is partially funded through your extras cover if you have this level of cover or by people who self fund to pay the costs of treatment. There is usually a gap payment associated with receiving these services. No medical referral is required and you can contact Calvary Rehabilitation Hospital directly to make an appointment. People accessing these services require less intensive or no medical supervision, and the assistance of a medical rehabilitation specialist at Calvary Rehabilitation Hospital is not required. They may require the input of their general practitioner or possibly other medical specialists. Patients may commence their treatment with a day patient program but then commence an ancillary program, either once they have completed the day patient program or they no longer require treatment from a medical rehabilitation specialist at Calvary Rehabilitation Hospital.

Alternatively, patients may commence immediately with ancillary services as they do not meet the requirements for the day patient programs. Patients often will receive assistance from one or two allied health disciplines during their period of treatment. Types of treatment might involve the following
